Ohioans Give Obama Thumbs Down, Q Poll Casts Doubt on Reelection

Posted by Christopher Maloney on January 18, 2012

Another week brings yet another survey highlighting the detrimental effect Barack Obama’s job-killing policies have on his reelection prospects in Ohio.

Quinnipiac outlines the bad news for our Campaigner-in-Chief:

“Ohio voters give President Obama 51 - 44 percent thumbs down on his job performance and say 51 - 45 percent he does not deserve a second term in the Oval Office, the independent Quinnipiac University poll finds.”

And, the ominous signs continue from there:

  • 53% Of Ohio Independents Disapprove Of Barack Obama’s Job Performance
  • 39% Of Ohio Republicans Are Enthusiastic Compared To 24% Of Democrats

No matter how many campaign photo-ops the Obama administration schedules in Ohio, voters understand that his policies are not working. Liberal, big government solutions are hurting Ohio’s economy, crushing the private sector and costing our state precious jobs.

In “perhaps the most important single state in the country when it comes to the Electoral College math” Obama’s failed policies are coming home to roost and his electability is being called into question.

“The president’s problem is getting back the voters who voted for him in 2008 but went for John Kasich for governor in 2010. His main obstacle may be that voters say 48 to 42 percent that Romney is better able to fix the economy.”

Obama’s latest slogan may be “We Can’t Wait,” but it's Ohioans who have been waiting three years for leadership from this White House.  We've been on the receiving end of campaign pep rallies and reelection fundraisers, however these stops are not translating to higher approval ratings for Joe Biden or Barack Obama.  What has become painfully clear to many Ohio families is that the only job Barack Obama cares about is his own.
