Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and Ohioans across the Buckeye State are reminded of the selfless sacrifice and bravery of all of Ohio’s police officers.
Unfortunately, Sherrod Brown’s record shows that he does not share that appreciation.
The reality is, when law enforcement needed support the most, far-left liberal Sherrod Brown caved and appeased the anti-police wing of his party, aligning himself with the likes of Cory Booker and Kamala Harris.
Now that he is up for re-election, Brown wants nothing more than Ohioans to forget that he was an original co-sponsor of Democrats’ Justice In Policing Act of 2020 which, among other things, aimed to limit qualified immunity for police officers. Not to mention his claim that policing ‘reinforces’ racism as he demonized the brave officers who defend our communities.
Years later, Brown’s inability to stand up for law enforcement continues to have a ripple effect, with cities like Cleveland continuing to lose police officers and departments being dangerously understaffed.
Bottom Line: If Sherrod Brown was a friend of law-enforcement, he wouldn’t have turned his back on them and aligned with the far-left policies of Cory Booker and Kamala Harris.
