Christ’s Resurrection Vs. Trans Day of Visibility

COLUMBUS—Tomorrow is Easter Sunday, the most sacred Holiday for billions of Christians around the globe, when we join together with friends and family to celebrate the miracle of the resurrection of Jesus.

Despite the holy nature of this most sacred day, Joe Biden chose to celebrate something else entirely, proclaiming March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.

“Commonsense would dictate that when Easter falls on March 31st, the respectful thing to do is show deference and respect to every Christian who is celebrating this holy day,” said Cameron Sagester, Executive Director of the Ohio Republican Party. “Unfortunately, Joe Biden doesn’t care and is more than happy to cast Easter aside to advance his radical agenda.”

Bottom Line: No tradition is sacred anymore so long as it stands in the way of the secular left’s agenda.

Chairman Triantafilou: The Primary is Over, Time to Unite

Primary season is always an interesting time in politics. Candidates who are largely united on values and issues work hard to distinguish themselves from other Republicans who have taken on the commendable challenge of running for public office. At the end of the day, it is Republican voters who have the immense responsibility to turn out and choose the candidates they believe will best represent them and win the General Election in November.

Following last night’s results, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that there are bright days ahead for the Ohio Republican Party and the candidates we are now 100% committed to supporting.

At the top of the ticket, Donald J. Trump has secured the Republican nomination for President of the United States. This year, the Republican National Convention will be held in Milwaukee, and I look forward to traveling out there with all of our Ohio delegates to show our support for President Trump.

Joe Biden’s presidency has been a complete and total disaster. Every Ohioan need only ask themselves, “Am I better off now than I was four years ago?” The answer for the vast majority of Americans is unequivocally “no.” President Trump loves this country and is exactly the candidate we need to unite our party at the top of the ticket and drive turnout in November.

Ohio’s U.S. Senate race is shaping up to be the most important race in the entire nation, and we are honored to have the opportunity to fight alongside Bernie Moreno to finally retire Sherrod Brown. For decades, Sherrod has proven to be nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Sherrod’s priorities do not lie with working Ohio families. Instead, he has built his career off the backs of D.C. special interests and by cozying up to far-left Democrats like Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren.

Over the past several months, Bernie has proven that he will go to Washington and fight for America First policies that will improve the lives of all Ohioans. We look forward to working hand in glove with him as we lend our full support to flip the U.S. Senate. He will be a strong ally alongside Senator J.D. Vance in Washington.

In the other chamber of Congress, I want to extend a sincere note of congratulations to Orlando Sonza (OH-1), Dave Taylor (OH-2), Michael Rulli (OH-6), Derek Merrin (OH-9), and Keven Coughlin (OH-13) who have been chosen by Republican voters to represent their districts in the United States House of Representatives. Democrats like Emilia Sykes, Marcy Kaptur and Greg Landsman have carried the water for Joe Biden for the last three years, and are fully responsible for the current border crisis, massive inflation, and our degraded standing on the world stage. Expanding our majority in the U.S. House is integral to getting our nation back on track, and Ohio will do our part.

Finally, I want to extend a warm welcome to all of my newly elected colleagues on the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee. The members of our committee are passionate patriots, and their efforts are essential to spreading Republicans’ winning message in every corner of the Buckeye State.

Whether you are a disenfranchised Democrat, independent, or lifelong GOP faithful, I hope you will join us in supporting our strong Republican candidates in 2024 and securing major victories up and down the ballot on November 5th.

“Thanks to strong Republican leadership and our commitment to fighting for election integrity, every Ohioan can be confident in the security of their ballot,” said Chairman Triantafilou. “Whether you are voting early, in-person, via absentee ballot, or on Election Day, every Ohio Republican needs to turn up and vote for Donald J. Trump and their preferred Republican candidates up and down the ballot.”

In 2023, the Ohio Republican Party partnered with the Republican National Committee to launch the “Bank Your Vote” initiative to increase Republican participation in early voting in 2024.

Triantafilou also laid out the priorities for the Ohio Republican Party going in to 2024.

“2024 is a year of opportunity for Ohio Republicans. We have the opportunity to help put a Republican back in the White House, take control of the U.S. Senate by defeating Sherrod Brown, expand our majority in the U.S. House of Representatives and grow the Republican majority on the Ohio Supreme Court. There is much work to do, and we are taking nothing for granted.”

Working with county GOP organizations, grassroots leaders, and candidates across Ohio, the Ohio Republican Party is well poised to secure another “Red Wave” in the Buckeye State in 2024.
