Ohio GOP State Central Committee Selects Jane Timken, Jim Dicke to Represent Ohio on the Republican National Committee

COLUMBUS—Today, the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee elected Jane Timken to serve as RNC National Committeewoman for Ohio and reelected Jim Dicke to serve as the RNC National Committeeman for Ohio.

In these roles, Dicke and Timken, along with Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou, will serve as voting members of the Republican National Committee and will be instrumental in supporting President Donald J. Trump, Bernie Moreno, and Ohio Republican candidates up and down the ballot at the national level.

“When it comes to supporting the Ohio Republican Party and defending conservative values, there are none stronger than Jim Dicke and Jane Timken. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve by their side and fight for President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot on the Republican National Committee.”—Chairman Alex Triantafilou, Ohio Republican Party

During the Republican National Committee’s last meeting, Jim Dicke had the distinct honor of nominating the new Republican National Committee Chairman, Michael Whatley, to lead the RNC.

Both Jim Dicke and Jane Timken were endorsed for the positions by President Trump and U.S. Senate candidate Bernie Moreno.

The Brown and Biden Inflation Crisis is Crushing Ohio Seniors

COLUMBUS—Rampant inflation caused by Sherrod Brown and Joe Biden’s reckless tax and spend policies continues to crush budgets for workers and families across Ohio.

To cover up for the damage he has caused, Sherrod Brown is already hitting the airwaves to try to brag about lowering costs for seniors.

Unfortunately, even seniors are unable to avoid the consequences of Sherrod’s bank-breaking inflation:

To cope with rising costs, 80% of surveyed seniors have cut begun spending less on food, transportation, utilities and housing. Perhaps most strikingly, 33% of seniors said they had given up some medicine or medical care because of rising costs, according to the survey and a news release from Cuyahoga County.”—Cleveland.com, 3/14/24

“Joe Biden and Sherrod Brown have all but given up on talking about the benefits of ‘Bidenomics,’ but that doesn’t change the fact that Ohioans of all stripes continue to live with the consequences,” said Chairman Alex Triantafilou, Ohio Republican Party. “If we want to get our fiscal house back in order in this country, it is imperative that we elect Donald Trump, Bernie Moreno, and Republicans up and down the ballot on November 5th.”

Bottom Line: The Brown blueprint is chalk full of mistruths about the state of our country, and every Ohioan should pay close attention to Sherrod’s election year charade.

Judge4Yourself: Inexcusable Rhetoric Clouds “Non-Partisan” Organization

CLEVELAND—Yesterday, the Ohio Republican Party sent a letter to “Judge4Yourself,” denying their request to interview the Republican candidates for Ohio Supreme Court. While the Cleveland-based organization “Judge4Yourself” claims to be an independent coalition that examines judicial candidates who appear on the ballot in Cuyahoga County, the radical behavior of their leadership demonstrates they are anything but.

C. Ellen Connally, who serves as a Co-Chair of the Coalition, has repeatedly engaged in hyper-partisan and inappropriate behavior towards Republican elected officials and cannot be trusted to be an impartial voice in the “Judge4Yourself” process. As such, the Ohio Republican Party is recommending that Republican candidates should decline any invitation to participate in this process.

“The Party is going to take the groundbreaking position that Republican candidates should not participate in a process led by someone who advocates for physical violence against Republicans. C. Ellen Connally’s behavior is repulsive and no serious jurist should waste their time trying to win her approval. ‘Judge4Yourself’ will not be hearing from our candidates for Supreme Court and we hope they will not hear from any Republicans moving forward,” said Cameron Sagester, Executive Director of the Ohio Republican Party

A small sample of Connally’s comments regarding Republicans on social media can be found here:

This behavior is inexcusable and Judge4Yourself should be ashamed to be affiliated with this person.

Bottom Line: With Connolly in a leadership position, Judge4Yourself cannot be trusted to be independent, bipartisan, or anything other than another far-left organization that seeks to harm Republican candidates.

ICYMI… Moreno: By refusing to hold a fair trial, Brown abandons Ohioans

COLUMBUS—This week, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate penned an op-ed blasting Sherrod Brown for his weakness on the border and inability to stand up to the Biden Administration.

Amidst the worst border crisis in American history, Republicans attempted to take a strong stand and finally deliver some accountability to those responsible, impeaching Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejando Mayorkas.

In the article, Moreno states that, “Mr. Brown calls the impeachment articles a ‘distraction’ because he is unwilling to break from the Biden Administration. Impeachment of Mr. Mayorkas is not a “distraction” or “political,” it is a matter of national security and ending the invasion at our southern border.

During President Trump’s impeachment hoax, Democrat Sherrod Brown claimed, “If you still vote to acquit, your name will be tied to his with a cord of steel—and for all of history.” With Mayorkas, Brown refused to even hold a fair trial.

There is no doubt Sherrod’s name and reputation is tied to this unprecedented crisis. Ohio voters are ready to elect President Donald J. Trump and Bernie Moreno so that we can return to the commonsense policies that keep our country safe.

By: Bernie Moreno, Candidate for U.S. Senate

Toledo Blade, 4/20/2024

The House of Representatives this week delivered articles of impeachment for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the United States Senate.

Mr. Mayorkas has overseen the worst, most unprecedented border invasion in the history of our nation with 10 million illegal crossings since this administration took office and an influx of fentanyl pouring into our communities.

In addition to the influx of fentanyl pouring over our southern border, this invasion also has deadly consequences. Look at the tragic murder of Laken Riley by an illegal immigrant with a previous record — her death was entirely preventable. And yet, President Biden and Democrats in Congress are more concerned with calling her murderer “undocumented” than securing our border to ensure such a tragedy never happens again.

This invasion was created from Mr. Mayorkas’ complete dereliction of his duty, and also on account of Mr. Biden and (incumbent Ohio Sen.) Sherrod Brown’s reckless reversal — on day one in office — of the effective border policies of the Trump administration that kept our border secure and our nation safe. Mr. Mayorkas, Mr. Biden, and Mr. Brown are all complicit in this invasion, and it happened under their watch.

As the House’s impeachment articles make clear, Mr. Mayorkas has “willfully and systemically” refused to secure our southern border. Mr. Mayorkas claims that the border is secure, but with 10 million illegals in our country and record drug overdoses, he is lying to the American people. Our border is on the verge of being surrendered to the cartels and criminal illegals.

Mr. Brown calls the impeachment articles a “distraction” because he is unwilling to break from the Biden Administration. Impeachment of Mr. Mayorkas is not a “distraction” or “political,” it is a matter of national security and ending the invasion at our southern border.

The open border policies of this administration have driven wages down, and caused the cost of rent, food, and insurance to skyrocket. These misguided policies benefit those who cross our border illegally at the expense of Americans.

It should surprise no Ohioans that our senior senator is opposed to holding Mr. Mayorkas accountable for his negligence on border security. Mr. Brown has voted for amnesty for illegals, protection of sanctuary cities, and against deportations and funding for the border wall. He has rubber-stamped Mr. Biden’s open-border policies every step of the way.

Seventy-eight percent of Americans believe that there is a crisis at our southern border. The American people know that these are serious charges, and thus the Senate is tasked with carrying out its constitutional duty by holding a fair trial to examine the evidence. Instead, Chuck Schumer and his most reliable rubber-stamp dismissed these charges without hearing evidence.

With no trial held, it will be the first time in the history of the Senate that an impeachment charge is dismissed. This dismissal is an unprecedented disgrace to the most deliberative legislative body. Holding a full and fair trial is imperative to betransparent with the American people, and to guarantee accountability.

Failing to hold a trial does a disservice to our nation in the name of partisanship from Democrats, and breaks the standards and traditions of the Senate. The case against Mr. Mayorkas is compelling and deserves to see its day in the Senate without biases.

Alejandro Mayorkas refused to do his duty, and now Senate Democrats like Sherrod Brown are refusing to do theirs. Ohioans deserve better from their senator.

The writer is the Republican nominee for Ohio’s U.S. Senate seat on the Nov. 5 ballot against incumbent Democratic Senator Brown.

“They did it just to say they did it…..”

Democrat calls half-cocked plan to get President Joe Biden on November ballot a “Hail Mary”

COLUMBUS—This week, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office correctly pointed out that Secretary of State Frank LaRose does not have the authority to unilaterally disregard Ohio law.

Despite this being absolute commonsense, members of the media have decided to run with incendiary headlines, further fueling the conspiracy that Republicans are working to keep Joe Biden off the ballot:

Unlike the Democrat Party which actively fought to unlawfully keep President Trump off the ballot in states across America, Joe Biden’s ballot issue is a problem of his own making by not following basic election laws.

Even Democrat State Senator Bill DeMora knew this tactic would not work, telling Cleveland.com that, “It was a Hail Mary to think that the Secretary of State had any ability to change the law when he’s an executive,” Demora said. “I never expected it to go, but they did it just to say they did it.”

“They did it just to say they did it…..”

Yep… That’s how serious these people are about following Ohio law to get their sitting President on the ballot.

Bottom Line: While it seems unlikely that Joe Biden will not be on the Ohio ballot in November, maybe we should be honest with Ohio voters and chalk this up to another bumbling fiasco from Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, not some kind of Republican scheme.

Ohio Republican Party Statement on State of the State

COLUMBUS—Today, Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou released a statement following today’s State of the State address:

“Strong leadership from Ohio Republicans at every level continues to move our state forward and create new opportunities for all Ohioans. Unfortunately, the failed policies in Washington from Democrats like Sherrod Brown and Joe Biden are hindering our progress by intentionally destroying American energy independence, driving up interest rates, and making everyday essentials Ohioans rely on cost more than ever.”—Chairman Alex Triantafilou, Ohio Republican Party

ICYMI… Triantafilou: Quinn column on Trump abrogates his newsroom’s obligation not to pick sides

This week, Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou submitted a letter to Plain Dealer editor Chris Quinn in response to his column titled “Our Trump coverage upsets some readers, but there aren’t two sides to facts.”

In the article, Quinn outrageously makes numerous comparisons between Trump and Adolf Hitler saying, “Our nation does seem to be slipping down the same slide that Germany did in the 1930s. Maybe the collapse of government in the hands of a madman is inevitable, given how the media landscape has been corrupted by partisans, as it was in 1930s Germany.”

The media landscape has been corrupted by partisans, but those partisans are clearly found at the head of their newsrooms.

Quinn then used this moment to go on CNN and share some more “facts,” claiming that JD Vance and Bernie Moreno’s only “claim to fame” is that they want to be “puppets” for Donald Trump.

Maybe Quinn is right—there are not “two sides to facts.” The fact is that Bernie Moreno and JD Vance have both lived out the American dream and are fighters for the people of Ohio. Moreno is a legal immigrant from Colombia who came to the United States, built businesses, created jobs, was involved in his community, and has a wonderful family. Those are facts.

Supporting America First policies and saying Donald Trump is a good man does not make him a puppet at Quinn says. It makes him someone who is ready to stand side-by-side with President Trump and JD Vance and stop the insanity and failed policies of Democrats in Washington.

President Donald Trump shocked the left-wing establishment when he defeated Hillary Clinton. Nearly every pundit, newsroom, and talking head misread that moment. In doing so, they misread the American people.

In 2024, the lessons are still not learned. Plain Dealer Editor Chris Quinn in his March 31 column, “Our Trump coverage upsets some readers, but the facts must prevail,” tries to make the case that Trump is the modern-day equivalent to Adolf Hitler and that his newsroom will do their part by telling “the truth about Trump.” This outrageous and offensive hyperbole disregards the majority of Ohio voters who voted for Trump and will do so again.

Journalists used to have a tremendous responsibility to inform the public. Rather than use that responsibility wisely, they now pick a side, because they believe their judgment is sounder and more moral than yours — the voters.

Mr. Quinn has made an editorial decision that sets the baseline for every single news story that comes out of his organization. The conclusion, as I read it, is that Trump and his supporters are shameless liars, and his organization will work to defeat them. No sound journalist would approach their work in this manner.

Cleveland Plain Dealer Sets Out to Destroy Trump

Sanctimonious Elitism Disguised as “Truth”
