Can Somebody Check on the Democrats?

COLUMBUS—Yesterday, Governor Mike DeWine made it clear that Ohioans should have the opportunity to vote for their preferred major-party candidate for U.S. President, a decision that was widely supported by Republicans including Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou, Senator JD VanceBernie Moreno, and many other Republicans.

Common sense would dictate that Ohio Democrats would want their party’s nominee, and sitting president, to appear on the ballot this November. However, here’s a sampling of their response:

  • Allison Russo called it, “spoiled milk.”
  • Senator Bill DeMora wildly claimed after months of Democrats’ complaining that they “don’t need” the legislation. This is the same guys whose strategy for getting Biden on the ballot was to “just to say they did it.”
  • The Ohio Democratic Party outright lied by stating, somehow, that the Republican Governor calling a special session with the specific intention of placing Joe Biden on the ballot amounted to preventing “…Ohioans from choosing who they want to be president…”
It appears that one, or both, of these things must be true:
  1. Ohio Democrats do not actually want Joe Biden on the ballot because they know he will be detrimental to Sherrod Brown, or
  2. They are finally admitting that their so called “citizen initiatives” actually rely on foreign dark money and they can’t afford to see that cash cow go away.

Bottom Line
: While Democrats would rather play politics than get their own President on the ballot, Republicans will do what is in the best interest of ALL Ohioans. Somebody should probably check on them to make sure they are okay.

Ohio Republican Party Releases Statement Following Governer DeWine’s Press Conference on Biden’s Ballot Issue

COLUMBUS—Following Governor Mike DeWine’s press conference regarding the Biden Ballot Issue, Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex M. Triantafilou released the following statement:

“Although we are confident that Donald Trump will win decisively in November, we agree wholeheartedly with the Governor’s decision to call the legislature into an emergency session to place Joe Biden on the November ballot.

We, along with our Senate nominee Bernie Moreno, Senator JD Vance, and countless other Republicans, strongly support the idea that Ohioans deserve the opportunity to cast their votes for their preferred major-party candidate and that we also deserve to have elections that are free from foreign financial interests.

We encourage all legislators to get this done for the good of all Ohioans.”

RFK Jr: A great alternative for far-left Democrats

COLUMBUS–This week, RFK Jr’s campaign announced that they have enough signatures to appear on the Ohio ballot. This is great news for a far-left Democrat who is looking for an alternative to Joe Biden’s embarrassing administration, but the radical policies will remain the same:

– RFK believes full-term babies should be allowed to be aborted.
– RFK has repeatedly called for a “ban” on “fossil fuel extraction,” including fracking.
– RFK praises the socialist Green New Deal as “good,” “important,” and something “we ought to be pursuing.”

“While there is little daylight between Joe Biden and RFK Jr, Republicans are clearly united behind President Donald J. Trump. Ohioans understand that his status as an “independent” is nothing more than a mockery of voters’ intelligence.”—Ohio GOP Spokesman Dan Lusheck

Bottom Line: Democrats may see RFK Jr as a viable alternative, but his far-left agenda makes him a non-starter for Ohio.

Republicans Stand with Law Enforcement and Israel, Democrats Cave to the Radical Left

COLUMBUS—This week, countless news stories are running across the country about the growing tensions on college campuses between pro-Hamas protestors and law enforcement officers who are trying to maintain campus security and enforce campus policies.

Right here on Ohio State’s campus, protestors were heard shouting “CPD, KKK, IDF, they’re all the same,” referring to the Columbus police, the Ku Klux Klan and the Israeli Defense Forces.

Despite what is clearly growing antisemitism among these protestors, Sherrod Brown has chosen to abandon Israel, even causing Israel to rebuke him for “equating them with Hamas.”

Even after that, Sherrod still has not learned that Ohioans stand strongly with Israel, and his weakness on the issue is an embarrassment for a U.S. Senator from Ohio.

On the other hand, U.S. Senate Candidate Bernie Moreno has been unwavering, calling for law and order on our campuses immediately, not continued mass chaos. Ohio voters are taking notice on who is willing to fight for our Ohio values.

In December 2023, the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee passed a resolution that, in part, stated, “the Ohio Republican Party unequivocally condemns antisemitism in all of its forms, including, but not limited to, on U.S. college campuses, among some members of Congress in the Democrat Party, and among any hate group that targets the Jewish people.”
